About Glutathione
Glutathione is the tripeptide gamma-L-glutamyl-L-cysteinyl-glycine. In its reduced form (GSH) it is the most abundant non-protein thiol in cells.
Glutathione is studied in research on cellular redox balance, oxidative stress, detoxification pathways and enzyme systems such as glutathione peroxidase and glutathione S-transferase.
