About Kisspeptin
Kisspeptin-10 is the 10-amino-acid C-terminal fragment of kisspeptin, a peptide encoded by the KISS1 gene. It binds the kisspeptin receptor (KISS1R, formerly GPR54).
Kisspeptin signaling is a major area of reproductive endocrinology research, including the regulation of gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) and the hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal axis.
