About Melanotan 2
Melanotan 2 (Melanotan II, MT-2) is a cyclic synthetic analog of alpha-melanocyte stimulating hormone (alpha-MSH). It was developed at the University of Arizona.
It acts as a non-selective agonist at melanocortin receptors (MC1R, MC3R, MC4R and MC5R) and has been studied in research on melanogenesis and melanocortin signaling.
